ACCO Announces Presentation of $25,000 Donation from the Jel Sert Company's 'Click for a Cure' Campaign.
Chicago, IL, This past Monday the Jel Sert Company presented the ACCO with a check for $25,000 raised through their Facebook 'Click for a Cure Campaign.'
The $25,000 donation was a result of Jel Sert's social media fundraiser on Facebook where the company donated $1 for every new fan who joined their Fla-Vor-Ice and Otterpops page during the promotion period.
Through the overwhelming support of their consumers and the childhood cancer community, the pages reached 25,000 new fans in just 10 days. The donated funds will be used for much needed informational tools and coping resources that are made available through the ACCO to childhood cancer patients and their families.

ACCO is grateful for the commitment of the Jel Sert Company to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer. Jel Sert President Ken Wegner reinforced the Company's on-going partnership with the ACCO, and support for events that will make more people aware of the resources that ACCO provides. There is a need for more companies and individuals to be actively involved so that an end can be made to this horrible disease. As ACCO Executive Director Ruth Hoffman summarized: "Kids really can't fight cancer alone. It is through companies such as Jel Sert that join to embrace this cause, that a cure will be found."
In addition to the donation, Jel Sert has placed the gold ribbon for childhood cancer awareness and ACCO's name and website on 10 million of their Fla-Vor-Ice product packaging.
ACCO is also grateful to the tens of thousands of childhood cancer families who supported the Facebook 'Click for a Cure Campaign.' It was the moving tributes to our children who have fought cancer that motivated the overwhelming support for this social networking fundraiser.
Thanks to all of you who clicked in support of this cause and for spreading the word to all of your facebook friends.
This fundraiser was successful because of each of you!
